1.3 What type of corrugated paper is used for two-piece carton boxes?

Corrugated paper types are extremely diverse, with each type having a different flute height and frequency. The longer the wavelength and the greater the height, the better the durability and load-bearing capacity. Below are the types of corrugated paper commonly used for two-piece carton boxes today

• A-flute: Flute height 4.0 - 4.9 mm. Wave frequency is 33 waves per 30 cm of paper. The tolerance is 3 waves. A-flute carton paper can withstand well-distributed force across the entire surface of the carton box today.
• B-flute: Flute height 2.2 - 3.0 mm. Wave frequency is 47 waves per 30 cm of paper. The tolerance is 3 waves. B-flute carton paper has high puncture resistance and is therefore commonly used for shipping products with high packaging requirements.
• C-flute: Flute height 3.2 - 4.0 mm. Wave frequency is 39 waves per 30 cm of paper. The tolerance is 3 waves. C-flute carton paper combines the advantages of both A & B flutes. • E-flute: Flute height 1.0 - 1.8 mm. Wave frequency is 90 waves per 30 cm of paper. The tolerance is 3 waves. This is the thinnest flute among all other types and is commonly used for boxes containing lightweight items such as consumer packaging, and in 3-ply carton boxes or COD shipping boxes.
• BC-flute: a double flute combining 2 layers of B and C flutes. Flute height 5.4 - 7.0 mm meets the box thickness and high load-bearing capacity requirements. 
• AB-flute: a double flute combining 2 layers of A and C flutes. Flute height 7.4 - 7.7 mm. Meets optimal load-bearing capacity and enhances the quality of the carton box.
• BCE-flute: a flute combining 3 layers of B, C, and E flutes. Flute height 6.4 - 8.8 mm. This is a type of flute with extremely high load-bearing capacity, used for shipping extremely heavy goods.
